These are the swaps I made for our team meeting in October. I was so excited when the Purple Posy ink pads were approved and available for sale at the end of September. However the excitement of having the Purple Posy ink pads were short lived, and the ink pads were withdrawn from sale once more so if you love Purple Posy, then use the markers instead. I went for a monochrome look and made these cards as swaps. Usually, swaps are just card fronts, but card fronts are hard to display, so I went the whole hog and made proper cards instead.
I mounted the house stamp from “From Our House to Yours” on my Stamparatus acrylic plate and used the hinge technique to stamp multiples of the the house front with Purple Posy, and the roof line in Gorgeous Grape which were then fussy cut by hand and glued together. Once assembled, I stamped the front door in Gorgeous Grape.
The trees were stamped with Winter Woods in Purple Posy, and the sentiment (From Our House to Yours) in Gorgeous Grape again using the Stamparatus. This ensures perfect placement each time. The assembled house was adhered with dimensionals in front of the trees on top and I added a purple rhinestone from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones for a bit of bling.
More simple stamping inside – the trees in Purple Posy to tie in with the card front, and a cluster of snowflakes to the right to balance out the overall look.
If you haven’t invested in a stamp-positioning tool, consider getting Stampin’ Up!’s Stamparatus. It’s an invaluable tool especially when you’re making lots of the same design i.e., for special occasions e.g., weddings, christenings, milestone birthdays, christmas cards – the list is endless! With Christmas round the corner, you could put this item down on your wish list!
