Prized Peony – Gift Packaging

It’s nearly the weekend! Happy Friday!

It is so hard to choose a favourite. Every week this changes, depending what project I’m working on! For today’s project, I used the new Mini Paper Pumpkin box and adorned it with the Prized Peony Bundle. The boxes are just the right size for the Note Cards and Envelopes! They’re also food safe, so you could put treats in them instead.

The boxes are plain white, but I used a spritzer filled with rubbing alcohol and about 10 drops of Petal Pink re-inker. The box was assembled before I spritzed it. Hopefully by doing this, it would not compromise the “food safe” properties of the box.

I created a sturdy sleeve for the box using Gray Granite and Petal Pink card stock. The peony was constructed with four separate die cuts which interlock with each other to create this layered 3D effect. There are 17 dies altogether in the Peony die set. Four dies alone make up the main flower, and another for the flower stamen! It can be very confusing seeing so many dies! Press play below for hints and tips on how to use them.

I hope this has inspired you to make your own!
