Christmas Cracker – Poinsettia Petals

Way back in 2013, when we had the Envelope Punch Board, I had made a hexagonal mini cracker. Now that it is no longer available, I did wonder how I could duplicate it using current card stock.

It would be much easier to make it out of ordinary patterned paper, but to make it from vellum card stock is another kettle of fish. I challenged myself to do just that.

Did you see the Plush Poinsettia Specialty paper? It is flocked on one side on vellum card stock, and it looks really elegant and I just couldn’t resist it. There are six 12″ x 12″ sheets in the pack, two each of three designs.

You’d be wondering how economical would it be to make it out of these specialty papers? The good news is that you can create four of these little beauties out of a 12″ x 12″ sheet.
