Curvy Celebrations Launch Day

Whoop, Whoop!!!! An early release Curvy Celebrations Variety Bundle is now available. You can cherry pick the Quite Curvy bundle with the dies, the Curvy Christmas stamp set on its own, or the patterned papers on their own. Alternatively, if you want to have it all you can select the Curvy Celebrations Variety Bundle. The variety bundle includes the two stamp sets, the dies and the papers! Unfortunately, the dies do not come separately, they are bundled with the Quite Curvy stamp set.

Top Tip Tuesdays

On my Stamp with Elaine Facebook page, I post a short video every Tuesday with a top tip. Today’s tip is on the Leaf die above, third one down which embosses as well and die cuts leaf apertures.

You can see how I’ve removed some of the leaves and added the veins of the leaves inside the apertures. Some were popped up on a double stack of dimensionals. I dotted the ones I removed at the end of the sentiment.

Starting out?

If you’re new to stamping but branching out, here’s a card that just uses a few ink pads in Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam and Pear Pizzazz. The bird was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured in with some Stampin’ Blends which are alcohol markers. I fussy cut the bird, cut up some patterned paper to adhere on top. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark on the Shaded Spruce card stock strip and sprinkled White Embossing powder over it. Then I melted the embossing powder with a heat tool to make the word “pop”.

Going the whole hog!

If you want to step it up further, then you’ll need a die cutting machine and Stampin’ Up!’s new “Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine” is highly recommended.

I used the vine leaf die to cut and emboss out of Very Vanilla card stock and laid it on top of Green Foil. In order to get the most out of the green foil, I die cut four leaf sprigs from the parts of the foil covered by the Very Vanilla layer. The gold ones were left over from a different project, so I added those too.

Paper Bows

I love it when a stamp set has a bow image. No worries if you’re bow impaired because a stamped bow makes a perfect bow each time! The added bonus is that it totally reduces the bulk of a ribbon bow and therefore far more economical to post especially at Christmas time.
