Hinge Stamping Today’s Tiles

I am so thrilled with my Stamparatus, Stampin’ Up!’s own brand of stamp positioning tool. It launched a couple of years ago. Stampin’ Up! also designed stamps which can be used for the “hinge stamping technique” with their Stamparatus. “Today’s Tiles” completely passed me by, until our CEO, Sara Douglas demonstrated it and I was hooked!

At first glance you would think the background for this card was a patterned paper! You would be wrong! This tiled background started off as a plain piece of Whisper White card stock! If I had stamped this free hand, there is no way I could’ve stamped it with the same precision to form a seamless continuous pattern. The Stamparatus tool made it possible!

The dark burgundy colour (Merry Merlot – in Stampin’ Up! colour speak) was stamped on top with a different stamp, giving this fabulous effect!

A picture speaks a thousand words, but a video is even better! Press play.
