Happy Sunday! I’m playing catch up with some Christmas stamp sets which have yet to see ink!
I love the fonts in the “For Unto Us” stamp set. There are no images, just text, so you can virtually use any stamp set in conjunction with this one. There are three cards to share today which shows a variety of ways this stamp set will compliment others.
This one is my favourite. I embossed gold embossed the text and used the layering circle dies to cut the “face” with the smallest circle in petal pink and a medium sized circle in Whisper White.
To create the cassock, I embossed the large Whisper White circle with the Lace 3D embossing folder. Then I trimmed the sides and bottom.
The wings are from the Detailed Dove dies which I coloured with Clear Wink of Stella. It isn’t visible in the photo, but in person, it sparkles when held to the light.
We have gold cards and envelops which you can stamp on directly. I do advise stamping on a layer of card stock, so if you make a mistake, you don’t ruin the card completely. The reverse can also happen. If you choose to stamp directly onto the card, any mistakes can be covered up by stamping on a layer and adhering that on top afterwards.
I gambled on getting it right first time and stamped directly onto the card, and used the gold embossing technique again. This time I used the nativity stamps from Peaceful Nativity.
For the third card, I stamped directly onto the patterned paper. You’ll notice that I’ve used neutral card stock for all my Christmas cards this year. This was deliberate so that I could reduce the weight of each card by having less layers.
