Paper Weave Technique card with Snailed It

Do you remember Miniature Weaving toy looms made out of wood? I received one as a gift one Christmas and loved it! Then I was given a book on ribbon weaving and tried my hand at that too. There are so many different types of material you can use to weave with, why not paper?

Here is the result.

I cut strips of paper 6″ long in varying widths ranging from 1/8″ to 1/2″. It’s best to work with an odd number. You can get in such a muddle with so many bits of paper so your Stamparatus with the Deluxe tool mat is a handy tool to have. You can anchor your vertical strips with washi tape or painters tape to stop them from moving around.

There’s a little video tutorial with hints and tips and a couple of extra card samples as a “show & tell” segment.
