How does each Sunday come and go so quickly? Another week has passed by in the twinkling of an eye. Not to mention it’s also the end of February and the last day of Sale-a-bration!
For this Sunday’s post I thought I’d share this really simple card which has a soft blended and shortened card front. I featured the Hydrangea Haven in a previous post which you can see HERE and which also had a video tutorial on how to create the corner fold.
Blending brushes are the newest addition of blending tool in Stampin’ Up!’s arsenal, and if you haven’t used one yet, I highly recommend it! They are easy to use and it’s practically fail safe, as nine times out of ten, you get perfect results. Just remember that if you’ve recently re-inked your ink pad, dab off the colour on some scratch paper or a microfibre cloth before you apply it to your project to prevent splotches of colour!
I cut off about 2-1/2″ from the card front so it would reveal the inside of the card. It’s a simple and effective way of adding a bit of pizzazz to your card. When the card is closed, it looks like you’ve partially embossed the whole card front.
Once you open it, you realise that the front of the card has been chopped off!
My colour scheme is Purple Posy, Seaside Spray and Mossy meadow. The stem of the Hydrangea was also shortened so it would fit on the card. I curled the leaves to make them look a little more natural. Hope you like it!
