Mother’s Day card with Wrapped Bouquet

Can you tell that I’m loving the Wrapped Bouquet bundle because I’m using it again to make a Mother’s Day card for today’s project?

I just had to show you how the newspaper die works! When I first saw this in the mini, I resisted buying it but failed miserably and just had to have it!

It was such fun making a Thank You card which was my first attempt which you can see Here. If you haven’t seen the one I made for the blog hop yesterday click here to view that one too.

Often, when something’s new, it gets all your attention. I used the Ornate Layers dies quite frequently when it first came out but they haven’t seen the light of day since then, and it was just the perfect piece to frame this bunch of flowers.

Purple isn’t really my colour, but the Purple Posy is a 2019-2020 In Color which will be retiring soon so I thought I better use it up!

Layers

My first mat layer is in Gorgeous Grape. I embossed it with the Dainty Diamond 3D embossing folder and then distressed the edges with a pair of scissors and rolled up the corners at opposite ends.

The second mat layer was die cut in Purple Posy using the middle size Ornate Layer frame.

Colours

Initially, I used the stamparatus to stamp my images in Granny Apple Green. I then coloured the floral images with stampin blends in Purple Posy, Highland Heather and Blackberry Bliss.
