A new publication is on the horizon so here’s a sneak peek for a Two-step Stamping floral card! In fact there are several sneak peeks! The first is the Hand-Penned Petals Bundle. It’s a photopolymer stamp set in the new configuration where the images are printed on the sleeve insert instead of the acetate sheet. Needless to say, there are dies which coordinate with the stamps too. Photopolymer stamps are clear, so it makes stamping the solid images inside the outline images much more intuitive. Incidentally, the solid images are abstract and do not fill the entire linear spaces.
As usual, when you’re making more than one of the same card, my trusty Stamparatus came into play. You only need to stamp the outline once. Then you die cut the image and the space it leaves behind acts as a template. It is so much more cost effective to die cut several “blanks” from a sheet of card stock. Simply insert the blanks into your template and stamp as many as is required.
To create that quirky card front scalloped angle, I used another new product called Basic Borders Dies. There are six border dies in the pack in different configurations. It will be such a useful set and I’m enjoying playing with it.
I had the opportunity to use all the new In Colors for 2021-23 on this project. The floral outline was stamped in Evening Evergreen which is quite a dark green. Polished Pink for the largest flower, Fresh Freesia for the medium sized flowers and the smallest in Pale Papaya. All the leaves were stamped in Soft Succulent which is a paler green.
