This Fun Friday I created a bespoke diagonal two-toned box with “Nothing’s Better than Chocolate” stamp set. I had these Chocolate Bombs in my store cupboard which needed some pretty packaging.
To ascertain how big this box should be, I plonked the box on top of the card stock on my score board. Both the box base and box lid card stock measures 6-3/4″ x 6-3/4″ and I scored all four sides at 2-1/4″. You can watch the video tutorial further below this post to see where to score and cut as well as assemble.
The Chocolate Bomb box original packaging has purple hues. It gave me the opportunity to try one of the new In Colors for 2021-2023, Fresh Freesia. The top of the box is in Fresh Freesia and the bottom of the box is in Blackberry Bliss.
Often times, I use the Stamparatus to help me stamp, especially if it’s not on Basic White or Very Vanilla. This is because ordinary card stock sometimes doesn’t absorb the ink as well as the Basic White/Very Vanilla range. To avoid unevenly inked areas, with the Stamparatus, you can stamp again in the exactly the same position to re-ink any “blind” spots which has been missed.
I love the challenge of making bespoke boxes. In another Sunday post, I made this tiny cube, using the same Flowers & Leaves punch, but didn’t have anything to put in it. It will have to be kept as an emergency one, so I shall have to try and find something which will fit!
