I’m sharing a clean and simple card made with Pretty Perennials today. It always makes me sad when we have to say farewell to something I’ve fallen in love with. Pretty Perennials retires at the end of June, so I thought I better give it an airing one last time.
The card base and top mat layer is in Pool Party, as is the ink I used. Sometimes I like a tone on tone card, but it lacked “oomph”, so I added a Basic White layer and it made the Pool Party layer pop. The open work floral and leaf die cuts were also in Basic White which complimented the Basic White mat layer too.
Those little specks on the card are actually flecks of glitter from the Wink of Stella glitter brush. I tapped the brush on my finger to scatter speckles of silver glitter all over the card.
I die-cut silver foil flower centres and added the blue adhesive backed gems to complete it. It really was that quick and simple and I love it!
Do you ever make a card and then can’t bear to part with it? I’ve hung on to it for long enough and it is finally winging its way to one of my pen pals.
I hope you’re safe and well. Like you, I’m craving some semblance of normality and for the freedom we once enjoyed and took for granted pre-pandemic.
Retiring soon
