Diorama Card with layering dies

I was so excited to discover that I could make a diorama card with layering dies! You can find them on page 163 of the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue. The dies can be used with any stamp set and I love its irregular shapes.

Looking through my stash, it was a toss up as to which stamp set I should use, the Whale Done or Friends are like Seashells. As the Pearlescent Specialty paper is available in the new catalogue, I chose to work with the latter. It seemed to coordinate perfectly with the Sand and Sea Designer Series Paper so well.

Halfway through creating the card, I mislaid one of the seaweed stamps and I wasted half the morning rifling through the dustbin looking for it, not pleasant when you have to rifle through the day’s household waste, not to mention looking in the sink to see if it had been washed away accidentally!

The Seashell 3D embossing folder came into play too, especially when it’s used to emboss with pearlescent paper. It gives the shells an extremely shell like quality!

Here’s a video tutorial on how those new dies work – they’re definitely a keeper!

Stampin’ Up! has a new Reward System beginning early April 2025. Customers now must have an online account and need to opt in to earn 10% of their qualifying commissionable product purchases to redeem as Stampin’ Rewards on future orders. A qualifying purchase must meet the minimum threshold requirement on commissionable products. Be aware that Stampin’ Rewards have an expiration date. They need not be redeemed all at once. Stampin’ Up!’s system tracks them and the rewards expiring first will be used first when redeemed. You can check the Rewards Dashboard to help you keep track of Rewards Expiration Date Information. Please note the new Stampin’ Reward System cannot use Rewards toward the purchase of a Starter Kit as the Starter Kit has non-commissionable items in it. The Host Code will become obsolete.
