I’m a great advocate of clean and simple cards and firmly believe that sometimes less is more. Too often I feel I’m short changing people if I don’t put more effort into a project, particularly when making card. In most of my tutorials, I incorporate a fancy fold, or layers etc, and on occasion I probably use more than one stamp set.
It’s quite refreshing going back to basics. So for today, I’m sharing something clean and simple and trying to stick to less, so it still looks like “more”! Does that make sense?
I used the Thanks and Hello embossing folder – this is a duo of embossing folders designed for the Mini Stamp n’ cut machine. One folder embosses “thanks” in several different languages and fonts, and the other embosses “hello” in the same way.
The colour palette I chose is Fresh Freesia and Just Jade. I didn’t want purple leaves, so I cut the frame in Just Jade and the flowers in Fresh Freesia and stamped the background in Fresh Freesia to coordinate with the card base. Finally, I added some In color gems for the flower centres.
There is a video tutorial for another card made with this bundle which you can see HERE.
Product ListBefore I go, I’d like to wish my American readers a Happy 4th of July! If I had the presence of mind beforehand, I would’ve done this card in red, white and blue! but…..I forgot!
Thanks for popping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!
