Fancy fold card with Plentiful Plants is really a Reverse Gate fold card. I have had a debate going on in my head about what size I should cut my card base. Gate folds need a degree of accuracy so that it closes in the middle without any gaps. However, if you use the back as your card front, and what would have been the front of the gate fold card in the back, accuracy need not be the operative word!
In Europe, A4 sheets of paper measure 8-1/4″ x 11-3/4″. If you cut it in half, it measures 8-1/4″ x 5-7/8″. Instead of trying to work out the precise measurement for scoring, I simply use the same scoring measurement on the left side of the card stock as for the right. Once you’ve scored the left, rotate card stock 180 degrees and score again using the same measurement. Easy-peasy!
The added mat layers gives the card strength and weight to stand up without toppling over!
If you’re wondering where you could address the recipient and pen a few words, the back has been decorated too. Just some simple stamping on Basic White card stock using Soft Succulent, Evening Evergreen and Cajun Craze.
