Floral Card with Shaded Summer

IInitially I had missed this stamp set altogether but since then, I’ve made a Floral card with Shaded Summer. Rifling through the Sale-a-bration brochure, I noticed that one of the free set of dies called Summer Shadows. It cross referenced the stamps which coordinated with the dies.

I find it difficult to stamp floral images just in one colour. Oftentimes we use markers to ink up various parts of the stamp, the stems in green, and the flowers/buds in another. The problem for me is that the results from using marker pens is less intense. In fact, it’s a bit “washed out” and you may need to stamp it over and over again until the right intensity of colour has been achieved. This was well nigh impossible before the Stamparatus arrived on the scene.

Top Tip!

Now I’ve found the perfect solution! Stamp the same image twice but in different colours. Then die cut both so that there is perfect symmetry on the outer outlines.
