Here’s some quick, easy Christmas notecards made with the Classic Cloche Bundle. It’s already week 5 of 12 in my Christmas Countdown series.
This Classic Cloche stamp set is a 3 step stamping Photopolymer stamp set. I chose the notecards and envelops which are available in the Annual Catalogue. These are smaller in size and if you’re making cards to post abroad, they will be lighter in weight to post.
Simple Stamping with Stamparatus
Although you can mount your stamps on blocks the traditional way, because this is a 3-step stamping method, it will mean you will have to line up your stamp for each step and for each card.
I’m a great advocate for the Stamparatus because it makes jobs like this so much more time efficient and productive. You only need to line up the stamps once, and can stamp several cards without having to eyeball each step multiple times.
Using patterned paper and dies
Another advantage of using the smaller sized note cards is that I can cover 2 cards with just one piece of 6″ x 6″ patterned paper. Chop off 1-1/2″, then cut the remaining half so that each half measures 3″ x 4-1/2″.
You can simply use the dies to make a card. The background was blended in Pool Party with a blending brush. Hardly any stamping except for the sentiment from “Christmas to Remember” stamp set. A touch of Clear Wink of Stella was added to the trees and “hills” and as ground cover. It’s barely visible in the photo, but it looks fab in real life shimmers whenever it catches the light.
Grab a cuppa and watch the short video tutorial. Oops – I made a mistake (9:45 point) – Tidings of Christmas DSP should be 3″ x 4 1/2″, not 3-1/8″. I didn’t notice the error until after it had published!
