Gift packaging with the Christmas Season bundle. I have fallen in love with the Kraft Gift boxes and they’re so useful for putting treats, or cards in. In week 8 of 12 in my Christmas Countdown series, I show you how to dress up the Kraft Gift box.
The Kraft Gift boxes are made out of Kraft card stock, so they are quite sturdy. It’s also a bonus that the box was designed with an acetate window already in place. You can either leave it clear so that you can see the contents within, or cover up the “window” as I have done here, to conceal it.
Attaching the ribbon
It is common practice to wrap the ribbon round the box in one direction. Then you cross it in the other direction before tying a bow. I wanted my ribbon to stay flat so in fact, the ribbon isn’t tied at all. “Tear and Tape” was adhered to each end of the ribbon. I secured it on the inside of the lid, then wrapped it round over the top of the lid, round the back and underside of the box before securing the other end to the inside of the box base.
A piece of card stock was glued on top to conceal the ribbon ends. One for the inside of the box lid, and another for the inside of the box base.
Inside the box
There’s a method in the “madness”, it serves to strengthen the box too by having extra layers of card stock. As a finishing touch, I stamped a greeting from the “Christmas to Remember” stamp set and adhered it to a Cherry Cobbler mat layer on the inside of the lid.
