Easy Christmas cards with Gift Giving Dies

Good day everyone – did you know you can make quick easy Christmas cards with Gift Giving Dies? These were designed for gift tags, but it can also be used to make Christmas cards too. There’s nothing better than getting extra mileage from your investment, don’t you think?

Simply die cut the silhouette on a larger piece of coloured card stock. In this instance I used Cherry Cobbler against a Basic White Thick card stock base. Next, I adhered patterned paper from Peaceful Place 12″ x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Specialty DSP on the back to represent the night sky. The sentiment comes from Christmas to Remember. As a finishing touch, I added some Basic Rhinestone jewels.

Easy Christmas cards with Gift Giving Dies

Peaceful Place Specialty DSP is absolutely stunning. On some of the papers there is silver foiling. The winter scenes speak for themselves. This time I die cut the Santa and his reindeer silhouette in Basic White card stock and cut away the upper portion of the frame to create this scene. The greeting is also from Christmas to remember.

Another card made with Peaceful Place Specialty DSP

I made a booklet diorama card with the same papers for a blog hop some time ago. Click HERE to see it. The silver foiled wood grain piece of paper is to die for!

Basic White mat layers for the card fronts were both cut from the largest Stitched Rectangle from the Stitched Rectangles die set. Then I die cut the santa and snowflake silhouettes from these pieces. It gives it a nice finish.

Another idea is to use a blended background. I used blending brushes with Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point inks to blend the background diagonally on scraps of Basic White card stock. These were adhered to the back of the Santa silhouette and snowflakes silhouettes.

The sentiment on the Santa card is from Merry Snowflakes. I chose “season’s greetings” from Christmas to Remember for the snowflake card on the right.

Other dies in the set

There are some leaves, hanging ornaments and other dies which coordinate with the Time of Giving stamp set. This stamp and the Gift Giving Dies are retiring soon.
