Gift wallet in a box with chocolate

An unusual Gift Wallet in a box with chocolate! Yes, you heard right! I made a box with a window in the front to fit the 40 g Lindt snowman. They say all good things happen by accident!

Let me explain. The base of the chocolate is wider than the top, so the snowman was rattling around in the box – it is 1-1/2″ on all 4 sides. I inserted another piece of card stock inside the box to hold the snowman in position and this created a hidden compartment which you can put money inside.

Merry Snowflakes Bundle

I really wanted to find a use for this stamp set because it hasn’t been opened yet till now. Once I created my template, this box came together really quickly.

Just a little stamping, an aperture die cut with the smallest of the Stitched Rectangle Dies, and you’re done. The labels were also die cut from the coordinating Stitched Snowflakes dies.

Sweet Little Stockings Bundle

Flushed with my success at how quickly the snowman box came together, I merrily went about my business to make another for the chocolate Santa. To my dismay it was the wrong size! Although the chocolate weighed the same at 40 grams, Santa was slimmer and taller!

I also needed a window sheet so that he wouldn’t topple out. For the tags, I die cut two different sizes of stockings in Basic White, and used the “to” and “from” stamps from the “Sweet Little Stockings” photopolymer stamp set on the labels.

To decorate the sides of the box, I used the Gingerbread & Peppermint 6″ x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) DSP.
