In episode three I have an Easter treat box for the Easter Friends Series. I had been meaning to revisit this project I made several years ago.
Way back in May 2014, I made these wedding favour sandwich boxes which you can see HERE. I’d purchased a tutorial from an Australian Demonstrator. It was such a long time ago, I don’t have access to the video tutorial nor the pdf ! There was nothing to refer back to except for the video I made all those years back. Trouble was that there were no details of card stock measurements so I had to start from scratch! I am not going to make the same mistake and am filming this so I have a record of how to make it, going forward!
So here’s the updated version!

Here’s the side views on the left and right…..

…….and the view at the back. The Basic White piece is optional so you have somewhere to write “to” and “from” if you wish.

Sandwich box in 4 parts

Metric measurements
- Sandwich box sides : 9.5 x 20 cm. Long side at the top, score at 8 cm and 12 cm. Short side at the top, score at 1.5 cm.
- Lid of box : 6.5 cm x 22.5 cm. Long side at top, score at 8 cm and 19.5 cm. Short side on top, score at a tad over 1 cm. Rotate c/s 180 degrees and score opposite edge at a tad over 1 cm.
- Back of sandwich box : 4 cm x 12.5 cm. This needs punching at one end and requires trimming after it’s been adhered to back.
- Base of sandwich box : 4 cm x 8 cm.
- Optional Basic White mat layer back of sandwich box for stamping : 3.5 cm x 7.5 cm
Decorate as you wish. For the sides of my box, I cut a piece of DSP 3-1/4″ x 3-1/4″ (8 cm x 8 cm) and cut it diagonally. Then I trimmed of 1/8″ (0.5 cm) on each of the straight sides and adhered it to the sides of the sandwich box.
