New Kraft notecards & envelops – Bottled Happiness Bundle. The Bottled Happiness bundle escaped my notice until one or two samples popped up in my feed. It piqued my curiosity and I had another look in the 2022-23 Annual Catalogue on page 16. I’m so glad I did, because the floral stamps are a joy to use.
There is a vintage bottle punch bundled with the stamp set which is made out of photopolymer. This is a two-step stamping set. One stamp is for stamping the flowers and the other is for the leaves and flower centres.
This card came together so quickly – and if you’re making multiples, then using the Stamparatus, Stampin’ Up!’s stamp positioning tool is essential. I mounted the stamp with the leaves and stamped that first. Then on the reverse side of the plate, I carefully positioned the floral stamp over the flower centres before picking up the stamp on the plate by closing the plate. That’s not to say you won’t get equally good result by using acrylic blocks to mount your stamps. The Stamparatus just saves you time and you don’t have to worry whether you’ll get perfect results each time you stamp.
You can exercise some artistic licence if you aren’t bothered about the flower centres being the same colour as the leaves. That being said, there are species of flowers that DO have green centres for example green centred Ranunculus pictured below. If you do a search on google you can find species of daisies or anemones too which have green centres.
Video Tutorial
Without further ado, here’s the video tutorial to see how I made this card.
Stepping it Up
Embossed card
The card on the left has an embossed mat layer. I used tone on tone for this card. Stampin’ Up! still carry Kraft card stock 6″x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) pack. The mat layer was embossed with Elegant Eucalyptus 3D embossing folder and I cut the Basic White layer with the Scalloped Contours dies. I stamped the demijohn in Orchid Oasis, masked the lip of the bottle and stamped the sprig in Crumb Cake. Then I stamped and fussy cut the sentiment and adhered it to the top left corner.
Fabulous Frames card
For the card on the right, I used the Fabulous Frames dies and die cut five frames in Strawberry Sorbet card stock which I glued on top of each other. Stacking them like this omits the need to use dimensionals to raise them up. The demijohn was stamped on a scrap of Basic White card stock, and its label was stamped off twice to make it much lighter. Then I could stamp the sentiment “wine not” at full strength with Orchid Oasis ink. For the final touches I used “For Everything Fancy Sequins” (3 colour collections in blue, pink and green) I used the pink ones as well as the 2022-24 In Color Baker’s Twine pack.
So which is your favourite? I have another Kraft notecard I made which I’m keeping up my sleeve. I’ll share it on my Sunday blogpost, so do pop back to have a look! Thanks for visiting!
