Today’s fun fold card showcases the Tree lot dies which is free subject to a qualifying purchase of £90 before shipping/handling. It coordinates with the Trees for Sale stamp set in the July-December 2022 mini.
I combined it with the Charming Sentiments from the Annual Catalogue which have dies to match. In a previous post which you can see HERE, I used it on a tag on some pretty packaging.
The base mat layers are in Evening Evergreen and the ones on top in Basic White were partially dry embossed with the “Into the Clouds” standard embossing folder. The standard embossing folder sandwich is slightly different. You require platform 1 and 2 of the platform 3 because the embossing folder is thinner and therefore does not require the thick Grey platform 4 which you would use for the 3D embossing folders.
In the first picture, this is the card closed. It’s quite bulky as there are so many layers. The middle picture is an aerial view and in the last picture, this is the reverse so you can pen a few lines to the recipient and sign off.
Card stock cutting instructions
- Card base – Basic White cut at 4-1/8″ x 11-3/4″ (10.5 cm x 29.8 cm). Orient in landscape and fold in half, then front half, fold in half again to form a “z” fold.
- Cut 2 pieces for side panels Evening Evergreen mat layers @ 2-3/4″ x 4″ (7 cm x 10.2 cm)
- Evening Evergreen mat layer for back of card front and reverse side – 2 pieces 5-3/4″ x 4″ (14.5 cm x 10.2 cm)
- Basic White side panels – cut 2 pieces 2-5/8″ x 3-7/8″ (6.5 cm x 9.5 cm)
- Mat layer 2 for back of card in Basic White and reverse side – 2 pieces 5-5/8″ x 3-7/8″ (14 cm x 9.5 cm)
- “Z” fold mechanism Soft Succulent – 1 piece 1″ x 11-3/4″ (2.5 cm x 29.8 cm). Orient landscape, fold in half and then front half, fold in half again.
- Inserts for “Z” fold mechanism – 1 piece in Soft Succulent 2″ x 3-7/8″ (5 cm x 9.5 cm) . On long side, score each end at 1/2″ (1 cm – please adjust if necessary for metric). Orient short side and cut in half so each piece measures 1″ x 3-7/8″ (2.5 cm x 9.5 cm). This way you need only score once.
- Extra Basic White and Very Vanilla for stamping and die cutting camper van and trees.
- Silver foil approximate 2″ x 3″ (5 cm x 7.5 cm)
