Autumn card – Fond of Autumn

Greetings this Sunday with an autumn card with the Fond of Autumn bundle. If you’ve been following my Fond of Autumn series, today’s Sunday share showcases a combination of techniques with different layers.

This time I cut the stencil with the detailed die from Autumn Bouquet Dies out of a piece of Crushed Curry card stock. After allowing it to dry and set hard, I tore the paper toward me to create this grungy look.

The card base in Crushed Curry was cut 4-1/8″x 11 ¾” for a landscape orientation. I used a Merry Merlot mat layer cut at 3 ¾” x 5 ½” to make it pop.

I stamped the large image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and used Stampin’ Blends in Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, So Saffron and Crumb Cake to colour in the image and used the special die to separate the different elements of the image.

A strip of ⅞” (2.2 cm) Natural Finish ribbon was attached to the stencil layer with some tear and tape. I then layered the leaves on top with dimensionals. I stamped “Autumn Wishes” in Cajun Craze on Very Vanilla card stock and fussy cut that to adhere on top.

To counter balance the weight on the front of the card, I added a Merry Merlot layer for the inside of the card too. This was ⅛” larger than the Basic White layer which measures 3 ¾” x 5 ½”.

The special die in the Autumn Bouquet set separates the large image into 4 pieces. I used the leaves for the front and reserved the floral one for the inside of card.
