Masculine Birthday card with Notes of Nature

A masculine birthday card with Notes of Nature from the Nature’s Sweetness Suite. This suite is a bumper one which contains two bundles. The other bundle is called “Lovely & Sweet bundle”. I’ve been sharing posts which incorporates one of the Sale-a-bration products in each post but I fancied a change. So this Sunday, I’ve made a masculine birthday card instead.

Tips for Masculine cards

Tone on tone cards especially in the more sombre colours like Pebbled Path are a great colour choice for masculine cards. The gold faux leather trim suits masculine cards in lieu of ribbon as well as the round cork elements. The background “ledger” stamp was stamped with versamark and white embossed. I did the same for the sentiment. White embossing on a dark background always makes it pop.

For the inside of the card, just some simple stamping with Pebbled Path ink.

Notes of Nature Dies

Did you know that some of the dies in this set will cut out the corresponding images in the Nature’s Sweetness 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Specialty DSP? I die cut some of these for the card. If you’re so inclined, you can even colour the gold foiled images in some of the papers in the pack. The same dies will also die cut the stamped images in the Notes of Nature stamp set.

Also in the set is a variety of leaves in varying shapes and sizes which makes this set so versatile.

Embellishing

I distressed the mat layer and the sentiment piece with the scissor blades. The ledger and sentiment were stamped in Versamark ink then heat embossed with white embossing powder. Once it had cooled down, I then dry embossed the mat layer with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder.
