Father’s Day card

Father’s Day card. I’ve chosen a simple woodland scene using the In the Grove Bundle, Grassy Grove stamp set for my Father’s Day card. The In the Grove stamp set doesn’t have any sentiments so I used the “Happy Father’s Day” sentiment from the Trusty Tools stamp set.

You’ll find the In the Grove Bundle in the 2024-25 Annual Catalogue on page 70, and the Trusty Tools stamp set on page 80 in the “Encore” section.

How to make the card

Front of card

1. The card base is Basic White cut at 4 ⅛” x 11 ½” (10.5 cm x 29 cm). With the long side on top score @ 5 ¾”(14.5 cm)
2. Use blending brushes to apply some colour on the front of the card base starting with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Pool Party as shown.
3. Stamp fox in Pecan Pie on Basic White card stock and die cut with In the Grove dies. Set aside.
4. On Basic White card base front, stamp the bottom with Grassy Grove stamp with Garden Green Ink.
5. Adhere die cut fox to the right of card front. Tip: use the Grassy Grove tree frame die to find the position of where to adhere fox.

The frame

1. Cut 2 pieces of Wood Textured 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Specialty Paper @ 4 ⅛” x 5 ¾” (10.5 cm x 14.5 cm). Die cut 2 tree frames then adhere together.
2. Add colour to the two sides and top of frame in Pecan Pie with a blending brush.
3. Stamp bottom of frame with Grassy Grove stamp in Garden Green ink.
4. Ensure frame is aligned with front of card base and adhere to the card front with dimensionals.

Inside card

1. Cut and adhere Pecan Pie mat layer 3 ¾” x 5 ⅜” (9.5 cm x 13.7 cm)
2. Cut and stamp Grassy Grove stamp in Garden Green on Basic White layer 3 ⅝” x 5 ¼” (9.5 cm x 13.3 cm). Adhere to Pecan Pie mat layer.

Finishing touch

1. Stamp “Happy Father’s Day” from Trusty Tools on Basic White card stock.
2. Trim and cut one end into a flag end and adhere to front of card as pictured.
