Happy Fathers Day

Who doesn’t love a burger or two? Speaking about my own hubby, a way to his heart is through his stomach! Hence his constantly see-sawing weight and mine too! So to wish him Happy Father’s Day this Bistro Burger Bundle was just the ticket! It’s on page 66 of the 2024-25 Annual Catalogue.

How to create a double decker burger

  1. Stamp the burger image twice with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on Basic White card stock and die cut them with the Bistro Burger Dies. Incidentally the top of the burger has a slot through which you can insert toothpicks as shown, or even a *steak knife. *There is a die for the blade and one for the handle of the steak knife.
  2. Cut off the bottom of one of the burgers.
  3. Apply addhesive to the top burger bun and adhere the remaining whole burger on top.
  4. Once the glue dries you can colour the different elements with Stampin’ Blends. I used Crumb Cake for the bun, Granny Apple Green for the lettuce, Dark Daffodil Delight for the cheese, Real Red for the tomatoes and Garden Green Stampin’ Write marker for the sliced gherkins.
  5. Die cut a pair of toothpicks. Insert through slot at top of burger bun and secure to the back of burger with tear n’ tape.

Die cut elements

  1. Cherry Cobbler card stock – die cut the tray (note: the tray has two slots at the bottom), chilli, **tomato sauce and two bunting flags. **The die cut tomato sauce has a slot and you hook this over the small container as pictured.
  2. Mossy Meadow card stock – die cut 1 bunting flag, and two chillis. Adhere the Cherry Cobbler chilli but not the stem to one of the Mossy Meadow chillis. Snip off the Cherry Cobbler stem to expose the Mossy Meadow chilli stem.
  3. Stamp the fries with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White card stock and die cut with the fries die.
  4. Die cut the small container for the sauce in Basic White card stock. I coloured this in with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. Adhere the Cherry Cobbler tomato sauce piece. Where the slot is, hook it over the top of the container and adhere the lower half of the tomato sauce piece to the back of the container.

Inside card

  1. Cherry Cobbler mat layer : 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (10 cm x 14 cm)
  2. Basic White layer : 3 ¾” x 5 ⅜” (9.5 cm x 13.5 cm)
  3. DSP same pattern as card front : ½” x 5 ⅜” (1.5 cm x 13.5 cm)

Tips for assembling card – insert the double decker burger through the left slot on the tray and the fries in the right slot. Next insert the tomato sauce through the left slot in front of the fries. You can arrange the die cut chillis with dimensionals as pictured and adhere to the card front with dimensionals. put dimensionals on the back of the pennants and adhere between the toothpicks. Lastly, attach dimensionals on the back of the sentiment and adhere that to the front of the card on the top right.
