Mixing and Matching ephemera packs

Mixing and Matching ephemera packs. There is a section in the new 2024-25 Annual Catalogue called Mix & Match from pages 18-25. It comes under the category of Quick & Easy Options where you can still make quick, simple cards but add your own personal touch. Included in this section are some fun stamp sets at a lower price point so that if you’re new to stamping, it’s like a “taster”.

To start with, there are pre-printed cards and envelops. There are two packs to choose from, each pack contains 5 different card designs and envelops.

Next you have the ephemera packs. You can mix and match the four ephemera packs available. One is “Saying something” (all words), “Something for everything”, “Fully Flowering”, and “Labels & Layers. The price point for the cards & envelops and ephemera packs is £7.50 each pack which is very affordable.

In my samples today, I used the Calming Creek Cards & Envelops.

I used Something for Everything and Saying Something Ephemera packs on both these cards.

Below, the card on the left used the Fully Flowering and Labels & Layers ephemera packs. As a finishing touch, I added some Adhesive-backed sparkle gems. On the grey card, I used Saying Something and Something for Everything.

How to make 2 cards out of 1

If you’d like to make your supplies go further, just by adding some Basic White card stock for your card bases, you can use the pre-printed cards as patterned paper to decorate your Basic White card bases with.

Each Calming Creek Card base measures 8 ½ ” x 5 ½” (21.6 cm x 14 cm).

  • Cut the Calming Creek Card base in half.
  • Cut a Basic White card base measuring 8 ¼” x 5 ½” and fold in half.
  • Adhere one half to front of Basic White card base and trim off excess.
  • Cut a second card base in Basic White 8 ¼” x 5 ¾” and fold in half
  • Trim remaining half of Calming Creek card base to 3 ¾” x 5 ½” and adhere to the second card base
  • Decorate as desired.

In theory, I could have cut up all the Calming Creek Card bases in half and create 10 cards. I only cut up the Wild Wheat card because the pattern was so busy just to illustrate how you can do it.
