Sympathy card – Country Flowers

Sympathy card – Country Flowers. Sympathy cards are ones that no-one in their right mind would choose to make, but as it’s a fact of our life cycle – where there is beginning of life, there is also an end. We celebrate births, and need to find words of comfort for those who suffer loss of a loved one.

I had to make one recently for my son’s partner who lost her Dad. When I featured the Country Flowers bundle, I’d avoided the sentiment that said “with heartfelt sympathy”, preferring to make cards for happier occasions.

The embossed layer, and the die cut circle from the Spotlight with Nature Dies are really pretty. I didn’t want to cover it up so I fussy cut it. All the images were stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then coloured with Stampin’ Blends in Petal Pink, Lost Lagoon, Crumb Cake and Calypso Coral combos.

Inside card

The stamped image inside the card was also stamped in Tuxedo Black memento ink. I used the same colour palette to colour the flower and leaves.
