Buckle card with Wildflower Designs. Today’s project is a buckle card with a peekaboo frame so you can see the card stock behind. The Wildflower Designs dies have been well thought out. After cutting the scalloped frame, you can die cut a smaller stitched frame from the inside remnant of the die cut scalloped frame. This creates a buckle.
Making the buckle
I actually cut 4 scalloped frames in Basic White and 4 of the smaller stitched hexagons. The scalloped frame ones were stacked on top of each other in 2 pairs of 2 and were sandwiched between the Misty Moonlight strip. This gives it added strength.
For the nested stitched hexagon pieces, glue 1 pair together and stamp on the one that is face up. Position and adhere to Misty Moonlight strip. Be aware of where you apply the adhesive.
Emboss the 3rd piece with Dashing Designs 3D embossing folder and adhere it to the remaining 4th piece to make the 2nd pair. Open up the inside of the card and align the 2nd pair with first pair and adhere it on top of the Misty Moonlight strip.
Inside card
This is what the inside looks like when you open it up.
