Altered card series – Garden of Thanks

Altered card series – Garden of Thanks kit. This is the second of three in the series to show you how you can make the supplies in your kit go further. The second design in the kit is a floral card base which covers both the front and back.

This is the original design of the floral card following the instructions in the kit. As you can see, the floral design covers the whole of the card base (picture on the right).

To stretch the supplies, you can cut the card base into two pieces. What was allocated in the kit for card #1 in terms of embellishments was shared between the 2 cards.

Card 1

1. Add a Bubble Bath card base : ½ A4 sheet folded in half.
2. Petunia Pop Mat layer 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm) – this is sized for the UK/Ireland and Europe.
3. Cut Kit card #1 in half and trim to 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm)
4. Split Kit label for card #1 in half and adhere to a Bubble Bath mat layer.
5. Adhere the laser cut “thank you” on dimensionals and adhere to label.
6. Use one gold sequin to embellish the label.
7. Inside card : Basic White layer 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm)
8. Stamp floral image in bottom left corner in Misty Moonlight ink
9. Reserve leftover strip and glue to inside of card.

Card 2

1. Add a Bubble Bath card base : ½ A4 sheet folded in half.
2. Petunia Pop Mat layer 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm) – this is sized for the UK/Ireland and Europe.
3. Trim remaining Kit card #1 piece 3 ¾” x 5 ⅜” (9.5 cm x 13.7 cm)
4. Adhere remaining half of Kit card #1 label to Bubble Bath strip ⅛” larger on 3 sides.
5. Punch 1 ¾” circle in Bubble Bath
6. Stamp floral image in Petunia Pop on Petunia Pop scrap and punch out with 1 ½” circle punch. Adhere to Bubble Bath circle.
7. On scrap of Basic White stamp sentiment in Misty Moonlight and fussy cut then adhere to circles and attach sequin.
8. Inside card : Basic White 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm)
9. Adhere remnant to left of card and stamp floral image in bottom right corner.
