Sneak Peek – Season of Elegance

Sneak peek – Season of Elegance Suite. The new September-December 2024 mini will launch on 4 September. Today I have a sneak peek of the Season of Elegance Suite which contains 2 bundles of stamps and dies. The first is called Peaceful Season which are all sentiments with coordinating dies for labels. The second is Peaceful Evergreens which are just images of trees only with coordinating dies as well. There is a Painted Trees 3D embossing folder, ribbon, Gold textured dots and the most stunning gold foiled Season of Elegance 12″x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Papers.

If you have friends or family who have birthdays in December, there’s no reason why their birthday cards can’t bear imagery with a Christmas theme. In lieu of a Christmas greeting, you can so easily substitute it with a birthday one. In my sample I used a generic greeting so it can be used for any occasion. My nephew was actually born on Christmas Day so he gets to celebrate both his birthday and Christmas at the same time!

Cutting guide

  1. Card base : Old Olive ½ A4 sheet folded in half.
  2. Cherry Cobbler mat layer front and inside : cut 2 pieces 3 ⅞ x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm)
  3. Season of Elegance 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Specialty DSP : cut 1 piece 3 ¾” x 5 ⅜” (9.5 cm x 13.7 cm)
  4. Basic White inside : cut 1 piece 3 ¾” x 5 ⅜” (9.5 cm x 13.7 cm)
  5. Scrap of Basic White to emboss with Painted Trees 3D embossing folder
  6. Cherry Cobbler scrap for die cutting label.

Assembly instructions

  1. Adhere the Cherry Cobbler mat layer to the front of the card base.
  2. Fussy cut the largest and smallest white dry embossed trees. Gently run an Old Olive ink pad over the embossed ridges to add colour. Allow to dry thoroughly before tapping it with the embossing buddy to prevent static. Then run a Versamark ink pad over the ridges and sprinkle with Wow Gold Embossing powder. Tap off excess powder before heat setting the powders.
  3. Apply dimensionals on the back and adhere to DSP layer. Flip it over and trim off excess from the big tree. Then apply adhesive on the back of the DSP and adhere to Cherry Cobbler mat layer.
  4. Tap dust buddy over Cherry Cobbler scrap and stamp greeting with Versamark. Sprinkle Wow Gold embossing powder over greeting, tap off excess powder and heat set. Allow embossing to cool and dry before die cutting with Peaceful Season dies. Attach greeting with dimensionals to base of trees as pictured.
  5. Add finishing touches with Gold Textured Adhesive-backed dots.

Assembly inside card

  1. Adhere Cherry Cobbler layer to inside card.
  2. Stamp Basic White layer with the trees in Old Olive. Next to it, stamp the dots.
  3. Apply about 1″ (2.5 cm) tear n’ tape to bottom right and wrap round to the back a little to secure ribbon as shown.
  4. Apply tear n’ tape on all 4 sides to the back, remove tape and adhere on top of Cherry Cobbler mat layer to complete card.
