Shaker card – Christmas Series. This is week 3 and I made a Shaker card for the Christmas Series using the Snowy Scenes Suite Collection. You’ll find it on page 32-33 of the September-December 2024 mini. There is a stamp and die bundle called Snowy Wonder and there are several dies which not only die cut the stamped images but also a selection of images from its Snowy Scenes 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Designer Series Papers (DSP for short). There are White Loose snowflakes and some gorgeous Pool Party pom pom ribbon as well!
It was a no brainer! White Loose snowflakes lends itself to making shaker cards! I used the globe images from the Snowy Scenes DSP as my background for the snow globes – there are two shapes, a round one and a domed one and needless to say, there are dies for both. The base it stands on is die cut from the same base die.

I added the Real Red & White Baker’s Twine to decorate the card on the left. The bow on the right was die cut from the Peaceful Evergreens Dies in Petal Pink card stock.
Snowy Scenes 12″x 12″ DSP
There are 3 designs from the Snowy Scenes DSP pack which you can use the dies for die cutting the images.
The sheet on the left is the sheet of DSP from the Snowy Scenes DSP pack which you can die cut the globes from. The Dome one is slightly smaller than the image on the DSP. I also made a sample by fussy cutting the dome globe instead of using the dies so you can see the comparison below.
- Left picture : the round snow globe die, dome snow globe die and the base snow globe die.
- Middle picture : the tiered tree die will die cut a selection of trees from this sheet, and the snowman die will cut out the snowman with earmuffs but not the ones with hats on.
- Picture on right – Penguin die will cut a selection of penguins on this sheet.
