Gift card – Sweetest Star. This is the penultimate episode of my 12 week Christmas series, so yes, it’s week 11! This week I am featuring the Sweetest Star bundle which is a stamp set bundled with the star punch. I made some cute gift card holders.
In addition to Sweetest Star bundle, I used the Snowy Wonder stamp set, the Take a Bow 6″x 6″ DSP and Iconic Celebrations 6″ x 6″ DSP, Real Red, Granny Apple, Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie and Basic White card stock.
How to make the gift cards
Card base
- Cut A4 sheet in half so that it measures 4 ⅛” x 11″ (10.5 cm x 28 cm).
- Long side on top score at 3 ½”, 5 ½” and 7 ½” (9 cm, 14 cm, 19cm).
- Fold card stock in half (mountain fold) and 3 ½” (9 cm) and 7 ½” (19 cm) score lines as a valley fold to form a “W” shape.
Create opening for gift card
- Apply adhesive on 3 sides only to right of middle score line as pictured. Ensure tear n-tape is on the inside left of the 7 ½” (19 cm) score (just shy of it).
- Close the left side on top so that the card looks like the picture on the right.Create an opening for the gift card by cutting a sliver from the folded edge.
- Punch a finger hole with a 1″ circle punch
- Card front : Basic White card stock1 ⅞” x 3 ¼” and inside 3 ¼” x 3 ⅞” (Metric: front 4.5 cm x 8.5 cm and inside 8.5 cm x 10 cm) for stamping as desired.
- .DSP front : 1 ⅞” x 3 ¼” and inside 3 ¼” x 3 ⅞” (Metric: front 4.5 cm x 8.5 cm and inside 8.5 cm x 10 cm)
- Punch coordinating star and thread under belly band and apply adhesive as shown in picture.
- Wrap a belly band round card 8 ¼” x ¾” (21 cm x 2 cm) and adhere ends together.
- Next stamp the Santa on Basic White card stock with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colour Santa in and adhere to belly band star on top.
- Adhere DSP to inside card on left. Stamp and fussy cut sentiment and adhere on top.
- Inside right, stamp and adhere Basic White piece.
Mrs Claus gift card
- Same measurements and same assembly instructions as for Santa gift card.
- Colours used : Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce inks and Stampin’ Blends including Petal Pink and Lemon Lolly combos.
- Embellishments : Real Red & White adhesive backed peppermints.
Gingerbread gift card
- Same measurements and same assembly instructions as for Santa gift card.
- Colours used Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie and Iconic Celebrations 6″x 6″ DSP, Tuxedo Black Memento ink, Versamark to white emboss gingerbread
- Embellishments : Real Red & White adhesive backed peppermints.
