Congratulations card – Day to Celebrate. Some times you need a congratulatory card, but I’m usually caught short because I don’t make many of them. Day to Celebrate – Sale-a-bration stamp set
One of the ways you can use the stamp images is to create your own Designer Series Paper. Simply use a variety of coordinating ink colours to stamp the different images. You can get a lighter shade of the same colour by stamping off on a scrap of paper before stamping the second time straight on to your projects to create a lighter shade.
I stamped the rosette twice – fussy cut the first one, then used a ¾” (retired) circle punch to punch out the circular rosette portion and adhered to base of rosette with a dimensional.
For the Books Dies
I felt that these dies needed a bit of explanation.
- Congrats banner – the hole aperture was die cut with the tiny die as pictured.
- Below it is the die for the Book.
- Along the bottom of the book you can see the “leaves” of the book and this has been die cut with the paralelogram shaped die.
- Next to the book on the right is a die that resembles a comb. In fact this is the tassel. Die cut a tassel and run ⅛” double sided tape along the top edge, remove backing paper and roll the top in on itself to form the tassel. It’s a bit fiddly because it’s so small, but the end result is worth it.
- Lastly there is a tiny flag end which is the tail end of the book mark pictured at the beginning of this post.
