Fun Fold card – Everyday Arches. Often times I get blown away by each new catalogue release and I forget that the Online Exclusives are available too. So today I thought I’d share the Everyday Skies Suite Collection. The Suite consists of the Everyday Arches stamps & die bundle, a pack of 6″x 6″ Everyday Skies DSP, a reel of ½” (1.3 cm) white woven ribbon, and a pack of two-tone gems.
I’m also featuring another online exclusive – Mixed Media Florals Suite which has also released on the 7th January, 2025, but I’m only using the stamps and dies today.
Fun Fold
I used the largest of the Everyday Arches dies to create the fun fold. Fold the card stock in half large enough to die cut the largest arch. Place the die so that it is shy of the fold before running it through the die cutting machine to create the flap. You can then adhere it to a standard card base as pictured below.

Pictures below
- The picture on the left shows the card displayed upright and the folded die cut arched card has been adhered to the card front.
- Middle picture shows the flap open
- Picture on the far right shows the inside of the card where you can address the recipient. I forgot to colour the ladybirds in before taking the photo.

Factoid
You may have noticed that I coloured my ladybird *yellow – I didn’t want to introduce yet another colour but fact checked whether yellow ladybirds existed. So here’s a little factoid.
*Traditionally ladybirds are red, but there is a species which are yellow – Psyllobora vigintiduopunctata often abbrieviated to Psyllobora 22-punctata the 22 spot ladybird discovered in Germany in 1874. This species unlike other ladybirds which feed on aphids, Psyllobora 22-punctata feeds on mildew especially on low growing shrubs.
How to make the card
Card base
- Azure Afternoon card stock : 5 ¾”x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm) folded in half.
- Misty Moonlight layer inside card : 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (10 cm x 14 cm)
- Basic White Mat layer inside card : 3 ¾” x 5 ⅜” (9.5 cm x 13.5 cm)
Fun Fold card attachment
Please note that the Everyday Arches die set consists of 10 dies. Number 1 being the smallest and number 10 being the largest.
- Misty Moonlight card stock : 4 ¼” x 11″ folded in half then die cut with largest Everyday Arch die placed on card stock just shy of fold before running through die cutting machine. Adhere to card front leaving an even border at the top and two sides.
- Die cut 2 pieces DSP from Everyday Skies 6″x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) DSP pack one to adhere to arched front flap and the other on the reverse of front flap as pictured.
- Stamp “hello” with Night of Navy ink on Azure Afternoon card stock and die cut with No. 1 (the smallest) Everyday Arch die and adhere at the top left of front flap with dimensionals. (I shortened mine so that it would not encroach on the flowers).
- On a scrap of Basic White, stamp Mixed Flora daisy and colour with Stampin’ Blends – Azure Afternoon, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Petal Pink combos. Adhere to right of front flap with dimensionals.
- Misty Moonlight card stock : Die cut an arch with No. 5. Adhere to reverse of front flap.
- Basic White card stock : Die cut an arch with No. 4. Stamp greeting and aeroplanes in Misty Moonlight and adhere to Misty Moonlight no. 5 arch.
- Die cut a Basic White arch with No. 9 Everyday Arch die and stamp Mixed Flora tulips and ladybirds in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Colour with Stampin’ Blends – Azure Afternoon, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green combos.
Inside card
- Adhere Misty Moonlight layer first, then the Basic White layer leaving an even border on all 4 sides.
- Stamp as desired.
Finishing touches
- Adhere Two-tone Sparkle gems to fun fold front flap and card base as pictured.
- Reverse side of front flap – adhere a trio of Two-tone Sparkle gems as pictured.
