Fruit Salad 6″x 6″ (15.2 x 15.2 cm) DSP
There are 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs. They are also the perfect size for die cutting the envelops with the Grow with Love dies. I used the watermelon pattern – the reverse side resembles the watermelon flesh with its seeds.
How to make the card and envelop
- Cut a card base from Basic White Thick card stock 4 ½” x 3 ½” x (11.4 cm x 9 cm). Long side on top, score at 2 ¼” (5.7 cm).
- Die cut an envelop from the Fruit Salad DSP and set aside – be careful where you place the die so that you can maximise use of the remaining pieces later.
- Use the “washer” die to die cut 4 washers. Stack a pair on top of each other and glue together to give them added strength. Attach to envelop with a brad (retired).
- From scraps of DSP, fussy cut water-melon slices and separate pieces for the skin as pictured and glue them together as pictured.
- Also cut strips to embellish your card front and inside the card with the same DSP.
- Scrap of Basic White c/s – stamp the frame in Garden Green, die cut with frame die and adhere to envelop front.
- Stamp the “thanks” sentiment in Garden Green on Basic White scrap and fussy cut only the “thanks” part for the front of the envelop. Adhere with dimensionals as pictured.
Mini card
- Stamp directly on to the mini card (once folded it measures W2 ¼” x H3 ½”) with the Mint leaf stamp. Wipe away the ink from the “mint leaf” words so that only the sprig of mint is visible.
- Tie a double bow with linen thread and attach to stems with glue dots.
- Adhere strips of DSP as shown.
- Ink up “thank you” sentiment and use shammy to remove ink on the “thanks” part and stamp remaining sentiment on the left inside as pictured.
- Adhere DSP strip on right side with fussy cut melon slices.
