Easy fun fold card – Everyday You and Me. I’m in love with the Everyday Happiness 12″x 12″ Designer Series Papers maybe because it has Lost Lagoon in its colour palette. These papers are available just as a 12 x 12 pack or you could purchase a pack which will include a sticker sheet. They’re also available as an Everyday You & Me Scrapbooking Workshop kit so there are 3 different price points depending on which one you choose.
I struggle with Wild Wheat, but Stampin’ Up!’s Everyday Happiness DSP shows how well Wild Wheat can work when combined with Lost Lagoon, Pretty Peacock and Gray Granite! Because I use Wild Wheat so rarely, I still have the original pack I bought when it first came out! It’s time to show it a little “love”.
This card is in portrait but in a previous post I made one in landscape with the same papers and colours HERE. It’s quite different, isn’t it?
How to make card
Cutting Guide
- Card base : Wild Wheat 7 ¼” x 8 ¼” (18.5 cm x 21 cm). Long side score at 4 ⅛” (10.5 cm)
- DSP card front pattern “A” : 2 ⅞” x 5 ½” (7.5 cm x 14 cm)
- DSP inside card pattern “B” : 1″ x 5 ¾” (2.5 cm x 14.5 cm)
- Inside card : Basic White 2 ⅞” x 5 ½” (7.5 cm x 14 cm)
- Wildflower Design Dies scalloped die : Cut 1 in Pretty Peacock card stock and 1 in Wild Wheat card stock.
- Stitched hexagonal Die Wildflower Design Die : Cut 1 in Basic White, and 1 in DSP pattern “C”.
Assembly instructions
- Orient Wild Wheat card base with narrow panel on left. Close card and adhere DSP pattern “A” leaving an even border on all 4 sides.
- Apply adhesive only on the right side of frame of the Pretty Peacock and Wild Wheat scallop frame and sandwich the Wild Wheat card front in between. Use the Pretty Peacock frame as a guide to centre the frame on width of card base.
- Once position is correct, adhere both frames to front and back of the card front.
- Next adhere the centre of each frame into their repective frames.
- Stamp the Basic White hexagonal as pictured. Attach dimensionals on the back, align and adhere to Pretty Peacock Scallop frame.
- Finish card front by adhering Sale-a-bration’s Purple Adhesive-backed sequins (FREE with a £55 order excluding shipping).
Inside card assembly
- Apply adhesive to DSP pattern “C” and adhere to Wild Wheat scalloped frame.
- Adhere the 1″ x 5 ¾” (2.5 cm x 14.5 cm) DSP pattern “B” to right of inside card base flush with the edges on the top, bottom and right edge.
- Stamp greeting with Pretty Peacock ink on Basic White layer for inside card with Spring Corners stamp.
- Use the Everyday You & Me stamp set to stamp the floral detail in bottom left corner with Gray Granite for the leaves and Pretty Peacock for the floral detail.
