Gift packaging with Flower Cart

Gift packaging with Flower Cart. Often times I neglect older stamps and dies because I’m showcasing new arrivals from Stampin’ Up! In my quest to use a Mother’s Day themed card, I rediscovered the Flower Cart stamp set and Flower Cart dies. You’ll find it in the 2024-2025 Annual Catalogue on page 76. The last time I used it was in this post HERE.

These cute suitcase treat boxes are part of the new On the Go Suite Collection released on 4 March. They are made from really sturdy cardboard which has been pre-scored and are ready to decorate and assemble. It comes in a pack of 12 in white and are food safe and you also stamp on them. The folded box size measures 3″ x 3 ¾” x 1″ (7.4 cm 9.5 cm x 2.7 cm)

How to assemble suitcase treat box

I spent ages trying to work out how to assemble the box. So I created a diagram to show you how it comes together to save you time.

  • On the side where the handle is, B represents the bottom of the suitcase.
  • Burnish all the score lines.
  • Fold all the flaps marked A inside B, then tuck C flaps into the pre-cut slots inside B.
  • Thread the handle through the slot on the left.
  • Flaps marked D tuck into the bottom of suitcase marked B.
  • Do not put adhesive on E flaps because they tuck into the assembled C panels.

  • Stamp sentiments on Basic White and use the Tags to Go dies to die cut tags.
  • Use blending brushes to apply Crushed Curry on the edges of the Mother’s Day and Far Away tags. On the stamp Mother’s Day tag, stamp second generation floral elements to fill white space.
  • Thread lengths of Shy Shamrock twine and thread through both tags and adhere with dimensionals as pictured.
  • Die cut 2 padlocks with Crushed Curry card stock and adhere them back to back for added strength.
  • Cut a length of Shy Shamrock twine and thread through padlock and suitcase handle and tie bow.
  • Lastly attach the puffy stickers and decorate as desired.
  • Optional – reinforce the handle by gluing Crushed Curry card stock and trimming round handle. Use a craft knife to cut round the aperture.
