Sneak peek – new in colours

Sneak peek – new in colours. In Colours go on a two-year rotation before they are retired to make way for 5 new In colours. You’ll love the new ones for 2025-2027! Say “hello” to Cloud Cover, Darling Duckling, Secret Sea, Strawberry Slush and Timid Tiger. See if you can pair the names with the colours?

Cloud Cover

Stampin’ Up! has withdrawn this because there is a problem with the ink changing colour once it’s stamped. It will be available if they can fix it, but if not, it won’t be. Fingers crossed!

FYI because there are only 4 of the new In Colours available in their product line and not the usual 5, there won’t be a Bundle available for the new In Colours. However, the 4 new In Colours can be purchased separately.

2025-2027 Stampin’ Write Markers

Stampin’ Write Markers will include all 5 new In Colours. So there is a “workaround” if you need to use Cloud Cover ink. To apply ink to a stamp, use the brush end tip. By the way, it works better on Cling stamps with the red rubber.

Floral Impressions Suite – new Online Exclusive

Incidentally, here’s another sneak peek of a new Online Exclusive coming in May. In fact it launches on the same day as the Annual Catalogue!

I die cut the floral elements from the Floral Impressions Suite bundle “Impressions Abloom” with Cloud Cover card stock instead of stamping the flowers. Also included in the Suite are the Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder, Floral Impressions 12 x 12 DSP, Foiled Labels Ephemera pack, Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink gems.

Impressions Abloom dies

There are two oval frames in the die set – one that has stitching around it and will cut out a frame (Secret Sea piece). The other simply cuts out an oval (Basic White piece).

Apart from the dies which will cut out the stamped images, there are extra dies to cut floral elements like the ones picture above.

How to make the cards

  • Card bases for 4 cards : cut at 5 ¾” x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm). Cut off 1″ (2.5 cm) from card front.
  • Embossed mat layers for shortened card front cards : 2 ⅞” x 5 ½” (7.3 cm x 14 cm)
  • Inside embossed mat layers 1 ¾” x 5 ½” (4.5 cm x 14 cm).
  • Basic White layer inside cards : 2″ x 5 ½” (5 cm x 14 cm)
  • Scraps of Basic White to stamp flowers
  • Adhesive sheet on back of 2″ strips of Old Olive to die cut stems and leaves

Cloud Cover card
  • Cloud Cover card base : 5 ¾” x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm) folded in half.
  • Mat layer Cloud Cover : 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm). Distress edges of this with edge of scissors blade. Work one corner until card stock separates (top right corner) and fold back. Adhere to card front.
  • Die cut Secret Sea frame.
  • Use other Oval Die from Impressions Abloom die set to die cut Basic White oval and emboss with Pressed Flowers Embossing Folder.
  • Scraps of Cloud Cover card stock to die cut floral elements.
  • Die cut tiny flowers and flower centre with scraps of Strawberry Slush card stock.
  • Adhesive sheet on back of Old Olive card stock – Die cut stems and leaves
  • Embellishments 2025-2027 In Color ™ Flat Pearls
