Generic card – Poppin’ By. Stampin’ Up!’s latest Online Exclusive stakes is poppin’ popcorn called Poppin’ By! Simple imagery, a popcorn box and the dies have extras like a pair of specs, shoes and squares with pop-corn outlines! It will certainly appeal to a movie buff – popcorn is synonymous with going to the movies

Simple fun fold

This is a really easy fun fold just by adding an extra score line. I simply scored one end at 1″ (2.5 cm). Then I measured 4 ⅛” from the 1″ score line and made another score line. The finished card size when folded is a standard card 4 ⅛” x 5 ¾” (10.5 cm x 14.5 cm).

New Online Exclusives May 25

To make this card I used two of the new May 25 Online Exclusives – Poppin’ By Bundle and the Cheers & Sips bundle. The latter is part of a bigger Suite called the Celebratory Sips Suite Collection. I also used the Glass & Gardens embossing folders from this suite. These embossing folders will fit the mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine.

How to make the card

1. Strawberry Slush card base : 5 ¾” x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm). Long side on top score at 1″, 5 ⅛” (2.5 cm and 13 cm)
2. Cut a strip of Strawberry Slush 1″ x 5 ¾” (2.5 cm x 14.5 cm) and emboss with Glass & Garden embossing folder. Orient card so that the bigger fold is on the left and the smaller on the right. Adhere embossed piece to narrow panel on right.
3. Basic White for inside of card cut at 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm). Stamp pop corn with Darling Duck ink (new In Color™ 2025-2027) and the word “pop” in Strawberry Slush ink. Glue to inside of card.
4. Attach adhesive sheet to 2″ strip of Basic Black card stock and die cut 7 pieces of film frame. Adhere to strip of Basic White card stock as shown. Trim so that there is a narrow border either side. Use bone folder to break up fibres in card stock after adhering film frames to make a continuous roll of film. Roll one end and adhere to front of card as shown in picture above.
5. On scrap of Basic White, stamp various shapes of corn, the pop-corn carton, glass, straw and shoes. Arrange as shown. Optional – die cut extra blanks for the pop-corn pieces to glue behind the stamped pop corn pieces which act as closure for the card to give it extra strength.
6. Colour inside the glass with Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends combo.
7. Use Strawberry Slush Stampin’ Write marker for the straw from the Cheers & Sips dies. I adhered the straw upside down so that the straight end is at the top.
