Embossed card – Along These Lines

Embossed card – Along These Lines. Along These Lines – a photopolymer stamp set with images drawn with one continuous line. Did you know you can extend the line on either side of the image by stamping with the straight line images or use a Stampin’ Write Marker to extend the line. I love it!

Along These Lines consists of images only and so I added the Sunrise Sailing Bundle. In additon to the photopolymer stamp set, there is a Sunrise Sailing Hybrid embossing folder. Being a Hybrid embossing folder, there are dies which fit inside the embossing folder to die cut and emboss at the same time and also extra dies to die cut clouds, sails, and boat bases in different sizes.

How to make the card

Card front

Today’s card is quick and simple, but I also made a retirement card with the Sunrise Sailing Hybrid Embossing folder which you can see HERE.

  1. Card base : Secret Sea card stock cut at 5 ¾” x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm) folded in half.
  2. Mat layers : Cloud Cover card stock cut 2 pieces at 5 ⅜” x 3 ¾” (13.7 cm x 9.5 cm). Adhere 1 piece to inside of card base.
  3. 2nd Cloud Cover piece – Use embossing buddy to dust cardstock to prevent static then stamp dolphins with versamark bottom third of card. Sprinkle with Basics Wow! Embossing Powder (white) and heat emboss.
  4. Extend the line with the linear stamps and white emboss that too.
  5. Partially emboss below the white embossed line the sea with the Sunrise Sailing Hybrid embossing folder.

Clouds and seagulls

  1. Die cut the clouds with Basic White scrap. Use blending brush to add some colour with Cloud Cover Stampin’ Spot and stamp “best wishes” on the larger cloud with Secret Sea.
  2. Randomly stamp a trio of seagulls with Secret Sea ink.
Inside card
  1. Stamp the heart to the bottom right of inside card with Secret Sea ink.
  2. Extend the line from the heart with the linear stamps. There are two sizes, the longer one on the left, and the shorter one on the right.
  3. Stamp “you deserve the best” below the line as shown to complete card.
