Coming soon – new Christmas suite

Coming soon – new Christmas suite. Woohoo! Just three more sleeps till the September-December 2025 Mini Catalogue goes live! The Peaceful Garden suite is my favourite mainly because it has a range of blue hues in its Designer Series Papers. There are no images in the stamp set, only words. However, the dies have leaves, doves, stars and teeny, tiny envelops!

I designed the card so that it would feature both as you can see in the picture below.

Cutting Guide

  1. Card base : Cloud Cover 5 ¾” x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm) folded in half.
  2. Mat layer : Cloud Cover 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm)
  3. Basic White : Die cut larger label die from Peace on Earth Dies
  4. Doves : Basic White die cut one of each
  5. Peaceful Garden 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Glimmer paper – cut 1 small sprig
  6. Cloud cover scrap – Die cut a small envelop
  7. Inside card : Basic White 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm)

How to assemble card

Card front
  1. Emboss Cloud Cover mat layer with Peaceful Greenery 3D embossing folder. Use scissors to distress the edges then adhere to card front leaving an even border on all 4 sides.
  2. Stamp “peace on earth” on White lable with Misty Moonlight ink and adhere to centre of card.
  3. Use a blending brush to apply colour to the edges of the doves with Smoky Slate ink. Apply dimensionals back to doves and adhere as shown in picture.
  4. Apply adhesive to envelop and sprig and adhere these as shown on picture.
Inside card
  1. Align bottom of card with bottom of Peaceful Greenery 3D embossing folder and emboss.
  2. Repeat on opposite side. My card stock moved when I was doing the top, so there’s less embossing at the top than at the bottom. If both top and bottom are even, all the better, but it really doesn’t matter if it isn’t.
  3. Use a blending brush and Cloud Cover stamping spot to add some colour to the embossed bits.
  4. Adhere to inside of card.
