Embossed Fall card – Peaceful Embossing folder

Embossed Fall card – Peaceful Embossing folder. The Peaceful Embossing folder is actually from the Peaceful Garden Suite Collection, but you can use it for other types of card too. The embossing folder has a recessed fancy shape centre which isn’t embossed so that you can stamp on it or add die cut pieces which coordinate with it. I also used the Peaceful Embossing Dies.

Cutting guide

1. Basic Beige card base cut at 5 ¾” x 8 ¼” (14.5 cm x 21 cm) folded in half.
2. Mat layer #1 Basic Beige cut at 3 ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm) for embossing.
3. Textured Metallic 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Specialty paper (copper) scrap for die cutting label
4. Very Vanilla scrap for label and stamped image.
5. Inside card mat layer : ⅞” x 5 ½” (9.8 cm x 14 cm)
6. Scraps of Autumn Toile 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) DSP

Assembly

Card front

1. Emboss Basic Beige layer with Peaceful Greenery embossing folder. Distress all 4 sides with edge of scissors then add colour around edges and lightly over layer with a blending brush and Basic Beige ink and adhere to card front leaving an even border on all 4 sides.
2. Adhere Copper label to centre of embossed piece. Apply tear n’ tape down middle to secure irregular ⅜” (1 cm) ribbon in a zig zag configuration.
3. Very Vanilla scrap – stamp greeting and die cut with smaller label die from Peace on Earth die set. Add tear n’ tape and adhere on top of ribbon and copper foil label leaving an even border all round.
4. Stamp acorn and leaf sprig, colour with Stampin’ Blends Pecan Pie combo, Mossy Meadow combo then adhere as pictured.
5. Add streaked dots to finish.

Inside card

1. Stack two pieces of DSP 1″ x 2 ½” (2.5 cm x 6.4 cm) and cut a flag end.
2. Adhere one piece to top left corner as pictured.
3. Trim off ¼” (0.6 cm) on remaining DSP piece and adhere by overlapping the shorter piece as shown.
4. Adhere Very Vanilla piece to inside of card.
