Centre book fold – Delicate Whispers

Centre book fold – Delicate Whispers. This Centre book fold is really a combination of two folds. A rectangular card made into a book fold first. Then you fold the front of the card in half and when you stand it up and look at it from the top, it will look like a “z-fold”. You attach another piece of card stock to the half that folds back and it becomes the centre book fold.

Materials used

I used the gorgeous Delicate Dreams 12″x 12″ (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Specialty Designer Series Papers which contains a sneak peek of one of the new 2026-2028 in colours called Hydrangea Hue! It features soft hues of blue, green and cream with foil accents and it’s really stunning!

Today’s project also features the Delicate Whispers Bundle with hand drawn florals and leafy sprigs and coordinating dies. I also added some Copper foil and a label die from Filled with Sweetness dies which I featured HERE in a previous post.

Cutting guide

• Card base : 11 ½” x 5 ¾” (29 cm x 14.5 cm). Long side on top, score at 2 ¼”, 4 ½” and 5 ¾” (5.7 cm, 11.4 cm and 14.5 cm)
• Apply adhesive on the panel immediately to left of 5 ¾” (14.5 cm) score line pictured above on the right. Remove backing tape and close card to adhere to inside of card.

• Cut 3 pieces Pattern “A” of DSP each measuring 1″ x 3 ⅞” (2.5 cm x 9.8 cm) and adhere them to the inside left and outside right as pictured above.
• An additional Basic White piece for the card front cut at 3 ¼” x 4 ⅛” (8.2 cm x 10.5 cm). Apply adhesive as shown in picture above and adhere ensuring it is aligned on left edge, top, bottom.
• Adhere 3rd Pattern “A” strip to left of card.
• Cut Pattern “B” DSP at 3″ x 3 ⅞” (7.5 cm x 9.8 cm) and adhere to the front piece of Basic White.

Die cutting

• Die cut the scalloped label from Filled with Sweetness Dies in Gray Granite card stock.
• White emboss “hello FRIEND” and apply dimensionals on back and adhere to bottom right of card front.
• From Delicate Whispers die cut 2 pine sprigs and tie with double length of linen thread. Adhere to label with glue dot.

Stamping inside of card

• Fold inside of card flat. Place a post it note on the fold where the dotted line is on the left where the back of the front of the card overhang is and stamp the wheat sheaf in Gray Granite ink.
• Cut a Gray Granite layer 3″ x 3 ⅞” (7.5 cm x 9.8 cm) and adhere to inside of card on right as pictured above.
• Then cut a Basic White layer 2 ⅞” x 3 ¾” (7.3 cm x 9.5 cm) and stamp sentiment and wheat sheaf as shown in Gray Granite ink.

Finishing touch

• Lastly add some Natural Matte Dots which is part of the Delicate Dreams Suite Collection in the top left and bottom right corners.
