I created this fun, simple, peekaboo card with the coolest set of dies! There are only two dies in the “Picture This” set. One cuts out multiple circles and the other cuts out multiple rectangles. Both dies have double stitching so that the die cut circles and rectangles as well as the “negative” space (apertures) will have a stitched detail on it.
The beauty of these dies is that they can be used together with any stamp set so long as the images fit inside the apertures.
When I started to design this card, it was mean to be a generic one for any occasion. Hence the sentiment simply says “Hello there”. You can then add a greeting inside the card to suit the occasion. The card base is in thick Basic White card stock. I cut two pieces of card stock, one in Polished Pink and the other in Basic White the same size.
I used the “Picture This” circles die to die cut the apertures on the Polished Pink piece and lay it on top of the Basic White piece. Using a pencil, I lightly traced around each circle as a guide.
There was only one stamp with the little bird and music notes and as I wanted different images in each of the smallest circles, I drew the rest free hand. Blending brushes also came into play and my trusty Stamparatus for accurate stamping.
