Masculine card with Reflected in Nature

I loved creating this masculine card with Reflected in Nature stamp set. You can find this in the newly launched July-December 2021 mini on page 60. The stamp is in red rubber and is from the DistINKtive range. The stamps in this range gives a three dimensional look with just one single action. To create the same 3D effect, you may have to stamp multiple times with different stamps, so disINKtive stamps are a time saver for sure.

I have often heard people say how hard it is to find inspiration for masculine cards. It’s true that there are lots of floral stamps out there which we naturally veer toward for the fairer sex. However, I’ve found that in recent catalogue publications, Stampin’ Up! has provided us with some good choices for making masculine cards.

Take this card, for instance. I embossed the background in Basic gray with a new embossing folder called Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder. The dwelling in the woods is so generic. I’ve used the sentiment in the stamp set “may your JOURNEY take you to many new and EXCITING places” embossed in silver on vellum card stock. It could be a graduation card, a good luck card, or a new job card or even a birthday card. It is already a winter scene, so it can easily be a Christmas card with a Christmas sentiment.

Top tip for Masculine cards

Another trick for masculine cards is to tear the edges to frame your image. A rough and ready look. Also, if you leave the inside blank, you can add an appropriate greeting to suit the recipient when you want to send it.

Here’s a video on how I made it.

Product List

Stampin’ Up! has a new Reward System beginning early April 2025. Customers now must have an online account and need to opt in to earn 10% of their qualifying commissionable product purchases to redeem as Stampin’ Rewards on future orders. A qualifying purchase must meet the minimum threshold requirement on commissionable products. Be aware that Stampin’ Rewards have an expiration date. They need not be redeemed all at once. Stampin’ Up!’s system tracks them and the rewards expiring first will be used first when redeemed. You can check the Rewards Dashboard to help you keep track of Rewards Expiration Date Information. Please note the new Stampin’ Reward System cannot use Rewards toward the purchase of a Starter Kit as the Starter Kit has non-commissionable items in it. The Host Code will become obsolete.
