I wondered long and hard on how to make an alternate peekaboo card with Sweet Little Stockings. The Stockings dies coordinate with the Sweet Little Stockings stamp set. They’re part of the Sweet Stockings Suite on pages 30-31 of the new July-December 2021 mini.
Much as I love Christmas, it’s too soon for me to post Christmas themed projects. I will be reserving that pleasure in the last week of September when I start my 12-week countdown to Christmas series, so watch out for those! In the meantime, I’ve been finding alternative ways to use these very festive images! It’s good to know that your investment can be used not just for Christmas, but well beyond!
Picture This Dies
Remember the Picture This dies? I’ve used the circles many a time, but have yet to use the rectangular ones. I thought it would be perfect for this card.
The front layer was embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder. I cut a piece of Sweet Stockings 12″ x 12″ DSP which was the same size as the front to act as “wall paper”. The hamster, dog and cat were stamped in Tuxedo black memento ink and I used blender pens to colour them.
