DIY background card with Textures & Frames

Hello and welcome to this Sunday’s DIY background card with Textures & Frames from the Sale-a-bration brochure. I hope you’re well and enjoying the summer break.

Do you procrastinate when there are jobs you don’t quite know how or where to start? For ages, I’d been putting off playing with Sale-a-bration’s Textures & Frames stamp set which you can earn for free subject to a qualifying order. I work in advance, and have scheduled this post for today and realised that I could delay no longer! It’s the end of August, and we’re half way through Sale-a-bration.

Create your own background

It is so easy to create your own background with floral images. Switch it to geometric shapes or lines and I’m like a rabbit in headlights! When I finally plucked up the courage to have a go with the Textures & Frames set from Sale-a-bration there was no stopping me! What I’m trying to say is that you shouldn’t overlook this stamp set when you come to choosing your freebie. I had so much fun once I started.

I used the rectangular frame, the solid rectangle and the splatter dots to create this background and am pleased with how it turned out.

Be proud

Don’t hide your background under a mat layer. Be proud of what you created and use a frame to celebrate it! The new Cork 12″ x 12″ paper die cut with the Stitched Rectangle dies created a frame. I used this frame as a prop to adhere die cut leaves and my sentiment.

The leaves were cut out of 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum. The sentiment is from the Hand penned Petals stamp set.
