This Sunday I have a thank you card which I made with the Sweet Symmetry stamp set. How quickly time flies as I will soon be starting the Countdown to Halloween and Christmas annual series in the last week of September!
The Sweet Symmetry stamp set is made out of photopolymer and the stamps are clear. It enables you to see exactly where to stamp. This flower has been stamped in two halves. The stamp is actually only half a flower. I mounted the stamp on the Stamparatus, a stamp positioning tool. I stamped one half, repositioned the stamp and used the circle (white space) to align the other half to make it whole.
Adding dimension
To add more dimension, I repeated this to make a second flower. Both were fussy cut. The base flower was cut in full, but I cut away the outer petals on the second which left only the smaller petals. This was then staggered and adhered to the main flower. By staggering the smaller flower, it meant the the smaller petals below would also be visible, creating more depth.
This is a view from the side so you can see all the layers.
This is the inside of the card.
If you haven’t subscribed and missed my previous post, I made another card using this same stamp set and there’s also a video tutorial on how I created it HERE.
